On December 4th, 2014 the Sun Sentinel reported that Gregory B. Moore, age 35 was arrested 'without incident' as a suspect in a series of deadly carjackings. Moore survived nearly 30 hours while an intense manhunt was conducted in Broward County. Before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, a notice was put out on police radios to watch for him in a white Ford Escape which Moore had been spotted driving at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Prior to this, Moore was spotted around 9 a.m. Tuesday, running on foot away from a Mercedes-Benz which he allegedly stole and crashed on an off-ramp near Interstate 95. The entire debacle began an hour prior to this, when Moore allegedly committed the first of three successful carjacking. The FBI stated that he tried but failed in two additional carjacking attempts.
Moore allegedly shot two people in a car in Hallandale Beach, killing one and leaving the other in critical condition. His criminal record is reportedly lengthy, including several convictions for crimes such as cocaine possession, aggravated battery, armed robbery, and burglary.
