On February 17, 2015 WOWK Channel 13 reported a shooting in Clay County, West Virginia. The early morning, 8 a.m., shooting sent a wounded man to the local hospital. Braxton and Clay County State Trooper detachments both responded to the shooting, which took place on Duck Road in Duck, West Virginia.
An argument between the five people residing at the home resulted in the alleged suspect, 47-year-old James Asbury, shooting Delwin Buzzard, after first firing through a wall. While the bullet went through Buzzard's hand, he also sustained stomach damage from flying fragments. The charges for Mr. Asbury include five counts of domestic assault and malicious wounding. After being treated
for his injuries from a high-powered rifle, Asbury was taken to the Central Regional Jail
